Who is WebbieDebbie?

My real name is Kathleen Bazzano and I live in a small town just north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As I mentioned on the home page, I have been in business for over 27 years.

I began my entrepreneurship with a Stained Glass design studio where I created commercial and residential designs.

Later, I opened a dance and gymnastics studio for children, and ran both businesses at the same time.
When the dance studio began to take off, I became too busy to run both operations, so I closed the glass shop.

I have since opened a second studio for dance, gymnastics and music.

I have experienced all the ups and downs of most small business enterprises, and I am still thriving.

My Fine Arts and Business combination of experiences has been recognized as an anomaly by more than one person.
I have a BFA from Ohio University and an MFA from the University of Illinois. Since I grew up with a home improvement business literally located in my family home, I just naturally absorbed the small business ethic.

When I bought my first computer in 1996, it was love at first byte (sorry). I fell in love with the personal computer and the visual world it opened up to all of us.
I was desperate to learn web design and tried teaching myself to no avail. I took an html class at the University of Pittsburgh...and loved it!

After several frustrating experiences with web designers, I was even more determined to learn the art of web design, so I attended online classes at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and am proud to say I aced all of them! At my age! (baby boomer...that's all I'm going to say).

After creating several websites for myself and donating my time to the local symphony orchestra to maintain their site, I decided to do what I love and created WebbieDebbie.com.
